X-Com 1 - UFO Enemy Unknown
is a DOS based strategy game set in a distant future, where alien invasion threatens the safety of planet Earth. Players are tasked to
stop the alien invasion by building a base somewhere on the globe . Payers are
initially given three crafts, two intercepting airborne UFOs and one with crew getting of ground alien troops and survivors of shot-down UFOs. The base is also equipped with research, manufacture, radar defense and other facilities to it sustain.
Each campaign gets players funding from every continent they defended. The
amount of money they get depends on how well they controlled an alien threat to a certain continent. As the game progresses, players can require new weapons, either from recovered aliens and their artifacts, or just normal Earth weapons. The ground combat is turn based, but nonetheless very dynamic and interesting.
This game is the CD-ROM version that works for Windows. It also goes together with a patch that fixes graphic problems on Windows XP and some other system platforms.
