Scorched Earth
is a classic DOS game remade for later versions of Windows, Linux and other UNIX systems. The game takes it players in the armored tank’s hatch with a
task of destroying opponent tanks by entering the correct fire power and angle values for shooting projectiles . The player earns money after each round based on aiming skill, enabling him to purchase different tank shield and weapons.
The player can also choose between simultaneous, sequential and synchronous gaming mode, as well as the weather conditions, gravity and more others. In addition, a player can also modify options from rather abundant set or as it is. The multiplayer mode is supported for up to 9 players.
Unfortunately, the full version is no longer available in the market as well as online. However, it’s not something to be concerned about since the only difference between the full and shareware is the availability of the seventh tank.
Scorched Earth is not he first game of its kind to feature 3rd person artillery tank battle, but the game has some unique character that ardent gamers can appreciate.
